Smt. Mou Sen
An Economist, Activist & a Humanist, with a strong passion to work towards the welfare of our society, Smt. Mou Sen is committed to educate and empower women and children on their rights and entitlements, and is working towards building a “Just Society” free from discrimination and violence.
In the year of 2018, 4th Dec, she launched the pathbreaking campaign “The She In Every U” to spread awareness on PoSH Act, 2013 and its implementation across the IT sector, Public/Private Organizations and Academic Institutions.
She plays an instrumental role in enabling the PoSH committees across various sectors and continues to work in association with Government, Law enforcement bodies, Civil societies & communities to ensure safety to Women and Children.
She is a gender and labor law specialist, PoSH consultant, corporate trainer and has decade of experience in research & policies across academic, IT & Govt. organization.
She is also the part of the prestigious “Nirbhaya” project in West Bengal in association with Kolkata Police.

AHANA - PROTECTING CHILDHOOD
The project “AHANA - Protecting Childhood” a flagship project of Moksha The She In Every U Foundation imparting education & awareness on Safety, Health & Hygiene practices for adolescent children, under the inspiring leadership of eminent social activist Mou Sen. It aims at providing knowledge and resources for a holistic well-being & upbringing of school children and support learning and equity in education.
- 50+ Govt. schools identified under Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation.
- 5000+ school children are covered through this program till date.
- 500+ parents are now more aware about their rights and well-beling.
- 5+ outreach programs helped them to bring more closure to equity.
- “AHANA - Protecting Childhood” is now extended to Kolkata South West Division.
SAVE THE SAVIOR, PROTECT THE PROTECTOR
In the backdrop of R G Kar incident at Kolkata, eminent social activist Smt. Mou Sen launched the pathbreaking campaign "SAVE THE SAVIOR, PROTECT THE PROTECTOR" on 1st Sep'24 to ensure & enforce immediate safety protocols and implement PoSH committees for Healthcare Professionals & Police Personnel whose rights to safe & violence free workplaces was compromised on duty.
- 5+ workshops on safety at workplace and PoSH Act. 2013 for Healthcare professionals.
- 7+ awareness programs on safety & wellbeing at workplace for Police Personnel.

Prestigious Nirbhaya Project - "This Car Respects Women"
Towards a safer society. Kolkata Police & Kolkata Traffic Police launches the campaign "THIS CAR RESPECTS WOMEN" under prestigious "Nirbhaya Project", to sensitize transport operators on Women Safety & Gender Sensitization.
The campaign was inaugurated by respected Commissioner of Police, Kolkata Police on 7th Dec'2021. The campaign is designed to share awareness on various topics related to - Gender Equality, Gender Roles, Gender Issues, Gender Based Violence, Sexual Harassment and Women Safety.
Eminent social activist Smt. Mou Sen from Moksha The She In Every U Foundation is one of the key contributor to this campaign. Her consistent engagement, tireless effort and expertise on social issues has enriched the campaign "THIS CAR RESPECTS WOMEN" heavily.
In last 4 yrs, she conducted atleast 70+ awareness sessions and covered around 5000+ transport operators as part of this campaign.
International Kolkata Book Fair - TODAY A READER, TOMORROW A LEADER
Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate in assocaition with social activist Smt. Mou Sen launched “TODAY A READER, TOMORROW A LEADER” at 46th International Kolkata Book Fair. Through this program we have successfully sensitized school children from Bidhannagar area on basic safety protocols, child & cyber safety and road safety measures and helped them empower in their life.
- This is one of its kind program initiated in the year 2023.
- 1000+ school children visited Bookfair for the firsttime through this initiative.
- 25+ school accross Bidhannagar participated so far.
- 10+ Police Station under Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate helped organize this program.
- Due to its huge success, it has been extended to common spectators as well.
Ending the Shadow Pandemic
An initiative to strengthen the ties between adolescent children & their families, and to empower them with proper information on child safety, prevention of child marriage & teen pregnancy etc.
- 5+ Community connect through transport operators & families.
- 10+ Community connect through students, teacher & parents.
- Implementation of coAIDiary - A COVID Aid Hub with tap on call.
- COVID relief distribution to 500+ families including menstrual kit.
